Free Comic Book Day

Well, my first 'official' stint at being published has come and gone. I was part of an amateur effort to 'get ourselves known' and also have some fun doing things like small stories and give something away for free from Free Comic Book Day. We put together a small, 32 page ash-can sized comic with several stories. The following is my submission with Mordok's illustrations.:

I'm very proud of this for several reasons...first of all it's the first time I've ever been published. Second it's the first completed work since the web comic Brian and I have was a really good feeling all around.

There's talk of making this a regular sort of thing, and I'm 100% down for's a great exercise in writing and fun to do all around. I hope we do the next one soon; I've already got ideas.

It's 1am

What's really sad is I actually remember seeing that, and at the time I didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

I was a stupid kid.

So I enjoyed yet another free comic book day (My second :P) and gotta was nice. I'm not going to the Happy Harbor 10 year anniversary party tonight, but I'm not exactly upset about that. I went out, got some comics, and even got a new sketch from Fiona Staples.

Also got a comic signed for Savok from Gail Simone, so he should love me forever now or something I'm just sitting around the house, enjoying the day off and relaxing with my comics.

It's a good life.
